ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re now open for a trainee position at Strawberry Fields Cottage Wamberal for students ready to complete the professional requirements for their institution and take the exciting first step to beginning their career in the childcare industry.
Role and Responsibilities
Consulting with our educators to give input into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our daily educational programs
Assist our educators with preparing the educational environment.
To prepare our daily educational spaces and clear away materials and supplies when finished, along with general assistance with cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment.
To treat each child with dignity and respect, with utmost consideration to any socio-cultural differences.
To be actively involved with all children enrolled at our centre, through activities such as storytelling, crafts, and group excursions.
To assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both parents and children.
To develop a sense of professional initiative through assisting teachers and educators in any other ways necessary e.g. taking the opportunity to communicate with peers for professional support or taking the time to connect with educators and children.
Ensure professional communication with parents either verbally, or through other methods such as charts and notice boards.
During your time completing your course at our centre, we will work with you to complete all requirements necessary for you Educational Institution. We don’t expect you to know everything yet – all we ask is that you have a strong willingness to learn on the job, and have a bright, can-do attitude for any tasks that might come your way.
